Ground breaking news…there’s this great new technology out there, you may have heard of it, the INTERNET (yeah that’s sarcasm, but hey get with the program!) The internet was invented in the 70s but it was only used as a for of government technology. It hit the market for “personal use” in the 1990s, but no one ever predicted the explosiveness of this industry. Just in-case you’ve been locked in the “technologically-challenged” closet for the last decade let me bring you up to speed.

The United States alone claims more than 90% of the total North American population with over 310,000,000 people. The latest data of 2010 indicates that there are 239,232,863 internet users in the U.S. alone (if you’re not good at math that’s okay, cause I’ll crunch the numbers for you). That’s a staggering 77% total market penetration! Wow! Yeah ever heard of facebook? Between the years 2000 to 2010 the internet grew by more than 150% and today does close to $200 billion in revenue (and it’s just getting warmed up). So what, yeah the internet is huge, but why does this mean anything to me?

If you haven’t learned to leverage the internet yet, then GET WITH THE PROGRAM! Do you realize that there are more billionaires now in their twenties than billionaires in their 60s and 70s (wait I thought money was suppose to compound over the years?). Well the internet is a whole new ball game my friend. It’s allowed more people now then ever before to gain financial independence, right from the comfort of their own home. We live, eat, drink and sleep online. We have the greatest wonder of the world right at our finger-tips all-day, every day. But yet, most people haven’t even had a hint of an idea to tap the plethora off opportunity it holds. Wake up! It’s 2010, the kings are dead (Elvis and Michael) but if you’re ever loathing them, you can always find them ONLINE!

This is my first post so bear with me. The reason I started this blog is to create awareness about the tremendous opportunity in our nation right now. As you know we are experiencing an economic recession that could potentially be one of the most devastating economic down-falls since the 1930′s. However, in the midst of this economic crisis there is tremendous opportunity. As a matter of fact, when transcribed in Chinese the word crisis actually means danger and opportunity!
